Regional Boards
Our organization is supported by four distinguished Regional Boards: Greater Boston, Central Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts, and Bridgewater.
By joining our board, you become part of a proud legacy of committed individuals who have made a meaningful impact in our community, ensuring that people with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play. As a Regional Board Member, your primary responsibility is to raise awareness of Easterseals and introduce our mission to potential philanthropic partners within your local community. The Regional Boards serve as responsible social and fundraising entities, acting as liaisons to the Board of Directors. They also establish themselves as Easterseals ambassadors through corporate engagement, social networking, and volunteerism.
Commitment Requirements
- Minimum term requirement of two (2) years.
- Participate in monthly meetings: The Regional Board meets on the second Monday of each month. You must attend a minimum of seven (7) meetings during the year, including the mandatory planning session in September.
- Active involvement in community outreach on behalf of ESMA. We ask that you adopt one of our main mission initiatives and share your knowledge with members of the local community. In doing so, you can build awareness for the organization and drive engagement and philanthropic support.
- Identify engagement opportunities within your communities and find ways of educating and involving community members in ESMA programs. (i.e., Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, Junior Leagues, places of worship, college or business forums, local schools for career day, or the Teach Disability History curriculum).
- Participate/ volunteer in at least two ESMA programs or events (i.e., Move our Mission, Softball, Volleyball, Golf Classic, Adaptive Martial Arts, etc.).
- Make an annual gift of $100 or more to ESMA. This contribution can be a personal donation. This can be achieved by joining the Empowerment Circle for only $10 a month or one-time donation on a Day of Giving.
