Borrow an Accessible Laptop or Tablet for Telehealth at No Cost

Easterseals Massachusetts helps reduce barriers to healthcare access by providing accessible technology and training for individuals with disabilities. Devices include accessibility features and AAC applications based on individual needs, and our Assistive Technology Specialists provide hands-on training to help participants confidently use technology for telehealth appointments and online healthcare resources. With an accessible device, participants can:

• Attend virtual healthcare appointments
• Access patient portals and healthcare records
• Communicate with healthcare providers
• Take notes during appointments
• Manage appointments and health information
• Access reliable health information and resources online

Available Technology:

• Laptops

  • Laptops provide a robust platform for telehealth access, offering larger screens, physical keyboards, and compatibility with a wide range of assistive technology, such as screen readers and speech-to-text software. They are especially helpful for completing forms, accessing patient portals, managing healthcare information, and participating in longer or more detailed virtual appointments.

• Tablets

  • Tablets offer a portable, easy-to-use option for telehealth access. Their touchscreen design can be especially helpful for individuals with limited mobility, dexterity challenges, or those who prefer a simpler interface. Tablets make it easy to join virtual appointments, communicate with healthcare providers, access health information, and stay connected to care from almost anywhere.
