DDS Self-Directed Services for Therapeutic Care

Easterseals Massachusetts partners with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to provide flexible, individualized Therapeutic Services through the Self‑Directed Services program.

Easterseals Massachusetts is proud to partner with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to offer Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology, which may include the use of hippotherapy, through the DDS Self‑Directed Services program. All services are provided at The Bridge Center in Bridgewater.

The DDS Self‑Directed model empowers individuals to shape their own services based on their goals, preferences, and support needs. With this approach, participants and families have the flexibility to choose providers, design a personalized plan, and allocate their DDS budget toward the services that matter most.

Participant Eligibility Requirements:

  • The individual must be a DDS Self-Directed client.
  • All MassHealth benefits for the requested therapy services must be exhausted.
  • Eligibility must be confirmed with the DDS Service Coordinator or Support Broker.
