Therapeutic Services/ Hippotherapy: Registration & Checklist

Please read and follow the steps below to register for Therapeutic Services.

How To Register for Therapeutic Services:

  • Step 1: Sign up and complete a participant profile via CampDoc.
    • Complete and submit all registration information on CampDoc, including the Healthcare Provider Form.
    • Please note that form submission does not guarantee automatic enrollment, and ESMA reserves the right to weigh medical information given against existing precautions and contraindications to confirm enrollment.
  • Step 2: Register for a Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/ or Speech and Language Pathology Evaluation via CampDoc.
  • Step 3: ESMA will contact the client and/ or caregiver within 5 business days of complete registration to schedule the evaluation, which will be completed by a therapist on the agreed date and time.
    • Please note: CampDoc profile must be 100% complete, and payment must be received in full prior to the evaluation date; otherwise, the evaluation will need to be rescheduled or cancelled.
    • ESMA does not bill insurance companies.
  • Step 4: ESMA will contact the client and/ or caregiver within 7 business days to discuss the evaluation results, provide recommendations, and schedule recommended services. ESMA will assist with registering on CampDoc for the recommended service/ program(s).
    • Please note: ESMA does not offer registration week to week.
    • During sessions that include Hippotherapy equines, a variety of treatment strategies are utilized, including activities on and off the horse. The activities completed are based on the therapist’s clinical discretion while keeping the client’s needs, goals, and safety a priority.
    • ESMA strives to accommodate all individuals’ schedules; however, ESMA cannot guarantee time slots. Scheduling is completed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended to be seen during the most ideal time slot.
  • Step 5: Confirm session schedule and make payment.
    • Clients must register and pay for the full term, unless registering mid-term, in which case your payment will be prorated.
    • All sessions must be prepaid prior to beginning therapy treatment, which is done via CampDoc. If payment is not received, ESMA reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule the client’s sessions.
  • Step 6: Participate in weekly sessions following the term dates as outlined in CampDoc.
    • Sessions do not carry over into the next term, and the client must register for each term separately.
    • Note the term dates and any upcoming terms of interest. ESMA tries to maintain consistent schedules for returning clients if registering for consecutive terms. 
  • Step 7: Re-evaluations are required biannually, if there is a 2-month or more lapse in services, and/ or if there are any significant medical/ physical changes.
    • The therapist will notify the client and/ or caregiver when it is necessary to register for a re-evaluation.
