Something New is Blooming at the Easterseals Massachusetts Equestrian Center this Spring!

With the recent arrival of a custom-designed wheelchair-accessible cart, we now offer Adaptive Carriage Driving, allowing participants of all ages and abilities to enjoy meaningful horsemanship. The first of its kind in the United States, this cart can accommodate up to 1,000 pounds, making it a safe choice for participants with all types of mobility needs, including those who use power chairs.

At the heart of this new program are two remarkable Norwegian Fjord geldings, Lionel and Neil. As our trusted equine partners for this new program, they have completed training to pull the adaptive carriage, connecting new and experienced equestrians alike, building confidence, and enriching our community along the way.
