Barnyard Friends: A Sensory Exploration Group

Barnyard Friends is a great way for children, ages 7-12, to connect, explore, and have fun while building skills through play, movement, and animal encounters.

4-week program Thursdays in May

At a Glance

This group offers participants the chance to enjoy animal-themed activities, sensory exploration, and social connection in an exciting farm-inspired setting. Children will participate in interactive games, hands-on challenges, and group activities designed to build confidence and friendships. Over the course of the four-week program, participants will get to visit our friendly goats, weather permitting.

Each session supports growth in important skills, including:

  • Sensory regulation and body awareness
  • Social communication and peer interaction
  • Motor coordination and movement-based play
  • Flexibility with new experiences
  • Teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving

Caregivers are warmly welcomed to join in the activities alongside their children, or may choose to drop off and pick up after the session.

Cost

  • $175 per session plus Eventbrite fees

    Equine Enrichment Week: June 23-26, 2026

    Enjoy lots of 1:1 animal time alongside our staff: Collaborate with your peers to design and ride your own obstacle course, create a riding pattern to a song of your choice, and train an animal to learn a new skill!
