Insurance and Billing at The Bridge Center
We accept select insurance plans and offer private‑pay options for Therapeutic Services.
Insurance Acceptance
- We are currently in‑network with Mass General Brigham and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
- We are in the final stages of accepting insurance from Harvard Pilgrim.
Coverage varies by insurance plan and by service. Our team will verify your benefits, review your options, and guide you through the next steps before your first visit.
Understanding Medical Necessity
Insurance plans require that therapy services be medically necessary in order to authorize and reimburse care. In general, medical necessity means:
- Services are provided by a licensed, qualified clinician.
- Treatment is skilled and cannot be safely or effectively completed without professional expertise.
- Care is evidence‑based and consistent with accepted clinical standards.
- Services are needed to evaluate, improve, restore, or prevent decline in functional abilities.
Medical necessity is determined through clinical evaluation, documentation, and each payer's specific guidelines.
DDS Self-Directed Services
Easterseals Massachusetts partners with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to provide flexible, individualized Therapeutic Services through the Self‑Directed Services program. Visit DDS Self-Directed Services to learn about eligibility requirements.
Private Pay Options
For families who prefer to pay directly or whose insurance does not cover specific services, The Bridge Center offers private‑pay rates for all therapy services. Our team will review costs with you in advance, ensure transparency, and help you determine the best payment approach for your needs.
